Ashleigh's Farewell (Thoroughbred, #17) Hardcover – October 1, by Karen Bentley (Author)4/5(7). Ashleigh's Farewell book. Read 5 reviews from the world's largest community for readers. Who will ride Glory?Glory is facing the biggest race of his ca /5. Ashleigh's Farewell was the greatest book I've read in the series! The plot was really well spaced out, and the race part was so real! Even when Sierra races! I give this great 10!5/5(5). The only thing that reminds one of the older Thoroughbred books is the Townsends and their sudden half-interest in Glory. Overall, this book was entertaining enough, but you can see how the plots are being stripped down to one common theme: a girl, a superhorse, one trivial problem, and a big shimmering trophy/5.

Ashleigh's farewell. [Karen Bentley; Joanna Campbell] -- Glory is facing the biggest race of his career, and his jockey, Ashleigh Griffen, won't be riding him because she's going to have a baby. Cindy Blake, whose family owns Glory, hopes that they can. Ronald Reagan and François Mitterrand are sworn in as presidents of the Unites States and France, respectively. The tension due to Mitterrand’s French Communist support, however, is immediately defused when he gives Reagan the Farewell Dossier, a file he would later call “one of the greatest spy cases of the twentieth century.”Reviews: The only thing that reminds one of the older Thoroughbred books is the Townsends and their sudden half-interest in Glory.
